It’s Iced Coffee with Benefits

This is a sponsored post in my partnership with CocoaVia® supplement.

The heat is on & off in Louisiana during fall! While the heat and humidity are high, this does not mean our need for coffee goes good-bye.

The Louisiana love affair with coffee starts when Maw Maw (or another loving family member) adds a little coffee to the milk in our bottle. We graduate to a few sips from mom’s coffee and eventually we make our way from home brew to drive thru.

The Skinny Louisiana house has a great love affair with coffee, and yes we continue the tradition of home brewed and my 6 year old ‘stealing’ a few sips of my coffee in the morning. Brewed and hot is our favorite way to enjoy a good cup of joe, but this heat has us yearning for a cold coffee drink from our favorite coffee shops.

The choices are limitless. From fancy syrups and unique flavor combinations, our mind is sent into a whirlwind. Fun coffee flavors topped with gorgeous whipped topping and sprinkles make us smile wide. Yet, our excitement quickly vanishes when we realize we spend a fortune on drive thru coffee and we when we realize we consume close to 400 calories, 19 grams of fat, and 35 grams of sugar (this is based on a popular coffee chain medium mocha with whipped cream) in our beloved coffee drink.

This is where Skinny Louisiana comes in to save the day. Save your money and make your own iced mocha coffee at your house. The steps are simple, ingredient list short, and we pump up the benefits with our version from our friends at CocoaVia® supplement. How is this Skinny Louisiana approved? First, by using a 2% milk variety (almond) we get rid of a ton of fat and calories relative to what? Whole milk? Our big power punch? Our friendly CocoaVia® cocoa extract supplement. Not only giving us the amazing mocha flavor in our drink, one CocoaVia® supplement stick pack delivers the highest concentration of cocoa flavanols in a cocoa extract supplement today, and numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that these flavanols promote healthy blood flow from head to toe†. And yes, we got our CocoaVia® supplement from our local Drug Emporium (for those not in Shreveport, check out Walgreens). The final backflips? We took this drink from 400 calories to under 100 (depending on the milk you use). Try this recipe from my friends at CocoaVia® today!
