Ingredients in Air Fryer Fried Okra
Okra.
Tips on buying fresh okra.
You can find okra in the produce section of your local supermarket. Search for okra under 3 inches long and look for plump, firm green pods.
How to store.
Wrap fresh okra loosely in plastic and store in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for 2-3 days.
Best season for okra.
Okra tends to be available year round in the south and during the summer months in the north. Okra’s peak season is from June through September.
Extra Light Olive Oil.
While I purchase olive oil at my local supermarket, many of my clients purchase at specialty olive oil stores. Make sure to use extra light olive oil since the flavor is mild.
Redmond Real Salt.
I have been very successful in finding Redmond Real Salt at my local supermarket.
How to Make Okra in the Air Fryer
Wash and pat dry okra. Place okra in a medium bowl.
Drizzle olive oil over okra and toss with tongs.
Sprinkle Redmond Real Salt and toss.
Pour okra mixture into the air fryer basket.
Air fryer okra at 390 degrees for 12-14 minutes making sure to ‘shake’ the basket at 6 minutes.
Serve.
