Homemade Whole Wheat Bread Cubes

A one-ingredient, simple and healthier version of store bought bread cubes? Yes please!

It’s the weekend before Thanksgiving, and many of us are shopping for the ingredients for our celebrations.

Stuffing is a family traditional favorite for many of our Thanksgiving celebrations, but stuffing can well…..stuff our waist! Many of us look to purchase ‘pre-made’ bread cubes from the store, but what if I told you we can make our own healthier bread cubes with high-fiber whole wheat bread? You can!

We tried this in the Skinny Louisiana kitchen and guess what….it was amazing, easy, and has only 1 ingredient!

Homemade Whole Wheat Bread Cubes

Ingredients:

  • Whole-wheat bread (I used Sara Lee Delightful Bread)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Cut bread into small cubes.
3. Place on baking sheet.
4. Cook in oven for 10-15 minutes or until bread is dry.
5. Allow to cool before using in your Thanksgiving stuffing recipes.

I promise, you will not be disappointed!
