Air Fried Green Beans

  • Facebook
Air Fried Green Beans served on a white plate being held by a hand.

These air fried green beans are insanely crispy, super delicious, and low carb! With only 3 ingredients, the family will love this keto green beans recipe! Pull out your air fryer and say hello to your new weeknight vegetable side dish.

Ingredients Needed in our Air Fried Green Beans

Green Beans

Tips on Buying Green Beans

When buying green beans, look for beans that snap when bent in half.

Preparing Green Beans

Always ‘snap’ or cut off the stem of the green bean before cooking or air frying.

Storing Green Beans

Store wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator. NOTE – you need to use green beans pretty quickly once buying since they can lose their flavor quickly. Use green beans within a week of purchase.

Salt (or seasoning of choice).

I love to use Redmond Real Salt, but I invite you to use your favorite seasoning in this recipe.

Extra Light Olive Oil

I purchase my olive oil at local grocery stores, however many of my patients purchase olive oil at various speciality shops.

Why You Will Love My Keto Air Fryer Green Beans

  • Makes the perfect keto vegetable side. Say good-bye to boring steamed green beans and hello to a fabulous, crispy vegetable side.
  • The flavor is amazing. Did we say crispy?!
  • Quick and easy clean up. Cooking our green beans in the air fryer is so much faster than roasting in the oven and hello, it’s just the air fryer to clean up!
  • It’s low carb! This is the perfect keto green beans recipe coming in a 2.9 grams of net carbs per 1/2 cup. The carbs in green beans is 4.9 grams in 1/2 cup and 2 grams of fiber.

How to Make Our Recipe

  • Wash green beans. Blot dry with a paper napkin.
  • ‘Snap’ or cut off stems with a sharp knife.
  • Place green beans in a bowl.
  • Drizzle 1-2 tsp olive oil over green beans.
  • Sprinkle ½ tsp of salt (I use Redmond Real Salt). Toss.
  • Pour mixture in the air fryer.
  • Air Crisp (or air fry) at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
  • Open basket. Shake basket.
  • Air Crisp (or air fry) for an additional 5  minutes.

What Air Fryer Did You Use?

I used a Ninja Foodi Programmable 10-in-1 5qt Pressure Cooker and Air Fryer, but I also own a Phillips Air Fryer.

I don’t own a Ninja Foodi? Can I use any other Air Fryer in this Recipe?

Yes! This recipe will work in all Air Fryers. Follow the exact directions and you will be thrilled with the results.

How to Store Leftovers?

Leftovers? You probably won’t have any! I am super serious! But if you have leftovers, store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator.

Can I Freeze this Recipe?

I would not. For some reason, I feel as though the cooked green beans would get super soggy.

How Long Does it Take to Reheat?

Place it back in the air fryer OR Ninja foodi at 350 for 3-5 minutes to ‘re-crisp.’

What Can I Do with Leftovers?

Eat them as is!!!!!

What Else Can I Serve with this Recipe?

I would combine it with any one of my Keto Meatball Recipes.
